Fire Code Regulations

The Alliant Energy Center and the Dane County Fair must follow the City of Madison - Madison Fire Department fire code regulations. Contact MFD with any questions - (608) 266-4420. Below are links to the information for all vendors:

Tent Compliance Guidelines
Tent Notification of Operation Permit - If you use a tent that is 401 square feet or more at your vendor booth space, this form needs to be completed and sent to the Madison Fire Department by July 1, 2024. Keep this permit in the tent and have it easily accessible.
- All tents that are 401 square feet or more and all food vendors must have a fire extinguisher and exit signs in their tent.
