Tractor Parade – 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A parade of tractors that are all colors and sizes will be on display from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a great chance to climb right up into the driver’s seat of the awesome machines.
Family Safety Day – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fire Trucks and Rescue Vehicles parade will kick-off Safety Day at 1:00 p.m. These vehicles will be on display to climb on and see what it is like to sit in the "hot seat". At 1:30 p.m. be at the Main Stage to see the hardest working animals in law enforcement. The Madison Mounted Police will demonstrate the use of horses in helping to patrol. At 2:30 p.m. the Madison Police K-9 unit will demonstrate the ability of the amazing four-legged officers.
AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour – Noon to 8:00 p.m.
The national Wellness Tour will be at the Fair Friday-Sunday. They are offering free health screenings and health education. Available tests are worth over $100 and no appointment is necessary. Screenings include: Total Cholesterol Levels, Blood Pressure, Bone Density, Glucose Levels, Waist Circumference and Body Mass Index.
Green Drive Expo – 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Back again this year at the Dane County Fair is Hybridfest Green Drive Expo. The largest collection of hybrid cars in the Midwest will be on display for fair-goers. Today take the time to “Talk To an Owner” during the sessions. Also, you will be able to participate in free green vehicle test drives (access via rear of Exhibition Hall) and take in exhibitor and vendor booths and see the MPG Challenge winning cars on display. Scavenger Hunt Agventure – 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Enjoy meeting animals and farmers, while learning about, seeing and touching the many animals at the Fair. Have fun completing the scavenger hunt and win a prize, too! The Dane County Farm Bureau is proud to present this special “Agventure.”
Stories From Dane County History – 10:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
Take a moment to take a step back through Dane County's history as we celebrate the 175th Anniversary of Dane County. Hear from story teller Bob Kann with two performances.
Air National Guard Band of the Midwest - 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Performing an exciting and diverse musical repertoire that preserves our national heritage as Americans, the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest instills patriotism, national pride and esprit de corps. An integral component of the Air Force's Public Affairs Triad, the Band of the Midwest performs a vital role in communicating the message and professionalism of today's United States Air Force and Air National Guard.
Black Star Drum Line and Music Makers - 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Don't miss the this group of talented performers! Black Star Drum Line is one of the areas top youth performing groups. Founded in 2008, Boys and Girls Club Music programs have done over 100 performances in the Madison community. In 2010 Both Black Star Drum Line and Music Makers both performed at Brat fest, Dane County Fair and the grand opening of the new Madison Children's Museum. ![]()
